Mr. Fioretto became associated with the firm in 1990, and as of January 1, 1999, became a member of the firm. He concentrates in the areas of labor and employment law. Mr. Fioretto assists in the coordination and supervision of the firm's employment and labor services. He has considerable experience in litigating labor-management issues before state and federal courts, and various federal and state agencies. He also has extensive experience in collective bargaining, mediation and arbitration advocacy, both in the private and public sectors. Mr. Fioretto was a Contributing Editor to the Sixth Edition of Elkouri's How Arbitration Works. He has prosecuted and defended a wide range of employment discrimination cases before state and federal administrative agencies, as well as in federal court. Mr. Fioretto presents sexual harassment and employment discrimination seminars for the firm's clients, and drafts and reviews employment handbooks.
Mr. Fioretto is a regular speaker on various labor and employment topics sponsored by Chicago-Kent College of Law, as well as the American Bar Association on such topics as "Resolving Grievances Effectively," "NLRA Basic Labor Law," "Protecting Workplace Security: The Ongoing Need For Collective Bargaining In The Public Sector," "Hot Topics in Contemporary Labor Relations Law," "Effective Grievance Processing," "Work Family Conflict Issues," and "Mental Health Issues under HIPAA."
Mr. Fioretto is admitted to the Illinois Supreme Court, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, and federal district courts in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, including the trial bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and is also a member of the AFL-CIO Lawyers' Coordinating Committee. Mr. Fioretto served as a School Board Member for Park Ridge-Niles Community Consolidated School District 64 from 2009 to 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with honors, a law degree, and successfully completed a Mediation Training Certificate Program from DePaul University.
